        My only difference to this would be I think Winnipeg would ask for Ouellet over Smith, Smith being an UFA after one year and Ouellet being a RFA after the year. Would also figure out something out with Sproul so not just giving him away for nothing, either as an 8th D or keeping Russo down for the time being. Just my opinion though.

        I think it would benefit the Wings greatly if they asked for XO instead. Smith, I think, is a solid Dman, the balance of the entire roster is just atrocious. I wasnt too worried about all the pieces, just focused on the immediate roster.
