    The Hawks don't need another 3rd pairing defenseman, which is all Simpson will likely ever be. And a 2nd round pick isn't useful for a team trying to win now. Davidson is a better offer for Shaw, possibly straight up, though his history with injuries lessens his value.

    Where did I say the Hawks would be re-signing Shaw? Oh right, I didn't lol. I just said that he's not likely to be traded for yet another 3rd pairing defenseman - hell, I even specifically said which defenseman from the Oilers would be a better fit. Keep up, bro.

    I also think you're overvaluing Demurs, but that's another discussion.
