That is true, it would more likely be Gardiner that will go unprotected. After going through the expansion thing, I was thinking I should have switched the two, but I didn't. I suppose I can edit it but nah, it's just a fake thing

I'll change it up to Gardiner instead of Rielly.

Due to the cap crunch, Leafs won't have Gardiner when Seattle drafts (he will leave as a UFA this summer). I forget how many D can be protected. Seattle would be really smart to take Dermott if he was available.

It's 7F-3D-1G or 8FD-1G, Gardiner is definitely going be gone when the draft hits, but this would be if Seattle drafted right now. When I did the whole expansion draft protecting players, I had the Leafs protecting Dermott.
