The trade with PHI makes no sense? Frolik is not the problem in Calgary's top 6/9... Neal is the problem (in fact Frolik's numbers are better than Simmonds so far this year!). and Calgary throws in Dube, a top prospect?

Then we have the OTT trade... Is OTT GM smoking crack? Anderson (with 1 year left) for Smith (cap dump) a 4th and a ECHL prospect.... I think they will pass...

Neal has been an issue but is not tradeable at this point ( I think there is still hope). Simmonds has 15 goals Fro has 11. the idea is to send something of value (and make cap room). Simmonds is a physical presence , leader and has always produced more than Fro. Perhaps a line combination of Neal and Simmonds might spark some chemistry.
Ottawa is looking for cash and youth as they need to sign 3 important UFAS. Smith finishes the year and next year they go with younger goaltending. The 4th and prospect are just pieces added for a now injury plagued goalie that is no longer a starter.
