Panarin to Preds

Description
Curious as to what CBJ fans realistically think the return is on Panarin.

Assuming Fiala, Tolvanen, and Fabbro are off the tabel what does it take? I've seen lots of speculation that its one of them plus a 1st and maybe another mid level prospect but I don't see Poile letting one of those guys go unless there is already a contract in place which sounds unlikely given what his agent has said.

Mikka Salomaki is a bottom 6 winger who has shown promise but has dealt with some injuries and hasn't been able to find a consistent spot in the lineup in Nashville.

Its sounding likely that Fabbro signs with the Preds the end of BUs season which means one of Matt Irwin and Yanick Weber is available. While CBJ has a solid D core either could help out the bottom pair or be flipped for a late round pick since they both have a year of term left.

Anthony Richard, 17-15-32 in 46 AHL games this year is arguably the most NHL ready winger prospect the Preds have at 22 years of age.

Emil Pettersson, older brother of Vancouver rookie Elias, could be a bit of a project. At 25 he may be a career AHLer but has potential as a 3rd line center with 11-22-33 in 49 AHL games this year.

So the question is if the Preds aren't willing to part with a major piece of their current roster or their two high end prospects is a 1st a 5th, a bottom 6 winger, a bottom pairing D, two mid to high level prospects (both on pace for career best years), and a conditional 1st enough? Are one of Fiala, Tolvanen, or Fabbro an absolute must to make the trade? Is CBJ really even in sell mode given that they are currently in a playoff spot and only 5 points from the division lead?

Fiala should be off the table since he's a contributing roster player obviously, but for a player of Panarin's ilk, that offer off mish mash wouldn't get it done. Could get better prospects and assets from a team like boston (i.e. JFK, Zboril, 1st at worst or something like that). If Nashville is pursuing Panarin, would have to think Tolvanen and a conditional 1st (say Cup Win condition) would need to be in play. With Tolvanen involved it makes the first subject to conditions imo. Panarin is a top 3 LW and with his skillset, I don't think Kekalainen would move him for scraps and lottery tickets since CBJ is still in playoff hunt. Would need to be meaningful assets to make him worth moving.

Gotta give value to get value, even on a rental. Can't send minor leaguers and a late 1st and expect it to work
