Trades
1.
ARI
  1. Kapanen, Kasperi [RFA Rights]
TOR
  1. Dineen, Cam
  2. Fischer, Christian
  3. 2020 2nd round pick (ARI)
2.
NJD
  1. Connauton, Kevin
  2. Merkley, Nick
  3. 2019 2nd round pick (ARI)
3.
4.
ARI
  1. Pouliot, Derrick [RFA Rights]
VAN
  1. 2020 3rd round pick (ARI)
5.
ARI
  1. Allen, Jake
  2. Schwartz, Jaden
Additional Details:
STL might be a little bit more hesitant to trade Schwartz now, after his playoff heroics. If he sastains this level, I couldn't see this trade happneing. But if they put the playoffs aside and he levels out, then the trade could certainly be plausable. Cap dump with STL getting rid of Allen's contract-that's a big part of the trade, as it frees up a good amount of money to resign RFA's and possibly even go after a big UFA (Duchene, if he wants to leave CBJ?)
STL
  1. Haula, Erik
  2. Miska, Hunter [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
ARI needs scoring and having Allen as a Backup is good insurance for Raanta's inconsistent health. If Raanta stays healthy, then ARI can trade Allen half way through the season for good value.
6.
ARI
  1. McKeown, Roland [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
McKeown is a solid RHD prospect, something ARI needs to stock up on. CAR has plenty of RHD close to McKeown's age, this trade is very doable.
CAR
  1. Kuemper, Darcy
Additional Details:
Kuemper is a good fit in CAR and on very low Cap hit for how he showed he can be a 1b in the league. CAR will more than likely re-sign Mrazek to a semi-long term deal after this year and should move on from McElhinney, even though he had a strong season for them. They will try to avoid a 35+ contract on the books if possible.
7.
ARI
  1. Åberg, Pontus [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
ARi needs more skill on W. Aberg had a better season last year and plays a similar style that ARI likes to play. Could be a good fit.
MIN
  1. Oesterle, Jordan
Additional Details:
MIN is loosing two D of similar status (Oesterle, may even bring more offensive tools) to FA with a similar cap hit. But Osterle's contact allows MIN to take a contact off the books for almost the same cap his they had last season.

Thanks for the response!

I thought of that scenario with Kapanen and did make that move in a previous team that I constructed a little while back. I traded for him this time because of the simple fact that even if TOR can't match the amount that ARI can offer Kapanen, he would still have to agree to sign it. I'm not sure if he would want to leave TOR on his own accord. That is just on scenario that I was thinking about. I know he likes TOR, but things can change when money is involved. If he thinks he's worth more than what TOR can offer him, than I would definitely take your recommendation and go the offer-sheet route, if I were ARI or any other team.
