I know he hasn't proven much yet but i think we can pay him a little more. I mean JB gave lazi loui 6M and useless players like Sutter 4M+.

I agree but Demko signed this contract irl. I think JB should have given him more $$$ during the two years so that Demko would be more likely to take a discount on his next contract which will likely have some term. It would then give us more flexibility in the long-run to re-sign guys like Petey and Hughes etc.
