Trade With Anaheim / Sign Boedker

Created by: Lehner
Team: 2016-17 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 9, 2016
Published: Jun. 10, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade:
Reason Ottawa does this is to get a young established goalie that can bring them #1 goal-tending for years to come after Andy is gone. Karlsson isn't getting any younger and its time to go for it.

Reason Anaheim does this is they will lose Andersen anyways with the expansion rules. The offer is a very good offer, getting a top 12 pick (Jost, Bean, Bellows, Keller). Having a very good back-up goalie as well that can come in time to time for Gibson.

Signing:
I am trying to keep as much chemistry as I can on my forward lineup. Just looking at what the team needs with my lineup and its a playmaking winger on the 2nd line. Boedker is still only 26 and would bring some needed passing to set up the shooters on the line (Zib/Hoff). Also would help the 2nd unit on the powerplay.

Other ideas:
I was looking for a team to trade Chiasson to, would be a change scenery trade kind of idea. Nothing caught my eye, would be looking for a depth left d-man. Post if you got an idea, maybe we can make a deal!

I don't know how Anaheim couldn't pass that up. Seems like a lot to buy off their back up goalie.

I was trying to be fair to all teams involved, what would you change about that deal?

Anyone want Chiasson for a player your not happy with??

Only thing: don't see Ottawa spending that much anytime soon. Otherwise, looks pretty good!

My roster is pretty big tho: 24

Take away 4 players and have a roster of 20:
    The cap-hit is only $66,376,667.

Also hopefully we could trade C. Anderson and Chiasson to save even more dollars.
