That seems a pretty hefty price to pay for underperforming damaged goods and a Dman that the Oilers would be happy to move for cap reasons.

Lehkonen is a lock on the third line and PK, but can seamlessly sub in on second line when needed. He's a great skater. Fleury has the makings of a young top 4 Dman who's ahead on the development curve. Peca ... yeah, ok. It's hard to see where he'll fit in with the Habs next season but he proved he belongs in the NHL. I think there should probably be an insurance policy that if Puljujarvi doesn't thrive in Montreal, the Habs get a second rounder or the option to swap firsts in 2020 ... something like that.

Romanov is not signable until 2020 at the earliest, but he's not essential to this scenario.
