Alright, a lot going on here but hear me out.

1st trade: Toronto get cap relief and picks up an offensive defenseman and Babcock’s long lost child. Detroit gets a solid 2nd pairing defensive Dman for a decent value

2nd trade:Detroit takes on full value of Callahan contract and gets a prospect for the fee. TB also gets depth defenseman for cheaper with the swap of picks.

3rd trade: Selfish but I’ve always wanted Subban in Detroit. With NSH looking for a forward they take AA at a much cheaper rate for now for Subban. Allows them to have flexibility this offseason. Detroit gets good dman to put in top pairing.

Stevie tried to convince Karlsson to sign. Even for $10M it’s a good value as sports betting/New TV deal will likely increase cap over the years which will make the $10M easier to build around when the rebuild is over.

Draft Podkolzen and let him mature in Russia for two years as the rebuild continues. Draft Byram/Turcotte if they fall. (They won’t).

FYI getting two of the subban bros together was a happy accident.
