It’s a 1-year deal though. I’m hoping the Hawks take Turcotte and then Turcotte takes Filppula’s spot as the 3C in 2020-2021. I overpaid for him because I think he may get some cheap 2 year offers, and he would be the ideal stop gap at 3C.

I would be very happy with Caggiula or Kahun, but neither of them are centers. Also, I wouldn’t want to give any more than a one year deal to a 3C with the pending RFAs (DeBrincat, Strome, Kahun, Kubalik) the Hawks will have to extend next summer.
