It’s been a few years since he signed his contract, things can change. He has an 8 team no-trade list that he can provide. It is possible that Edmonton is on that list but odds are they aren’t.

Nyquist can ask for anything he wants, doesn’t mean he’ll get it. By the time next season starts he’ll be 30. After all the disaster high term high salary contracts in the 2017 offseason, I can’t see any team giving Nyquist a 6 x 6 contract.
