Not really how I'd do the lines, but was just placing folks. Don't read too much into that.

Interesting pick-ups which should upgrade multiple positions. I might try to keep Bennett (Frolik & Czarnik for Zucker), and I doubt Czarnik makes the main line-up but overall not too bad. I'd probably put Zucker as 1RW, Perry as 2RW.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Zucker
Tkachuk-Kadri-Perry
Bennett-Backlund-Lindholm
Mangiapanne-Ryan-Dube
spares: Brown, Hathaway?

I might be tempted to look to Philly for a mega-trade involving some of Patrick*/Sanhiem/Provorov/Couturier/Hayes with Gaudreau/Monahan*/Backlund/Kylington the potential principles......

Bennett is overpriced and overvalued by this fanbase. I'd cash in on his 5 game playoff bump that probably isn't real. He's going to be 2+ M and his scoring rates per 60 (ice time adjusted scoring) are below Mangiapane, Czarnik, and even Quine. His numbers are thanks to cushy circumstances. Sell high.

Moving Gaudreau would be a mistake. 99 point players dont grow on trees. Flames lose that proposed deal very badly. Also, Treliving isn't moving Gaudreau if you've listened to his media availabilities so far. Monahan on the other hand your guess is as good as mine.

Why would Ottawa give the 32nd and 44th overall picks for the 26th... Makes no sense at all.

It's a placeholder for the Flames moving down, which I think they might. I agree It would be more expensive for Ottawa than say, the Rangers, because of where Ottawa is picking.

Picks 32 and 44 are just a bit steep to move up by only 6 spots. The 32nd and a 3rd rounder makes more sense.
