Taking Reimer's contract in order to move up just two spots is not nearly enough. At least ask for the right to swap 2020 picks as well.

This is not going to go over well with the Philly fans.

This is not going to go over well with the Philly fans.

It's not like Reimer is a bad goalie. 650k would be retained to get a proper backup goalie so that Price doesn't need to injure himself and that he can be at the top of his game for the playoffs. Rask and Halak almost split games during the regular season which has clearly had an impact on the success of Rask in the playoffs. Not saying Reimer will split games but if he can play 25-30 that would be great for MTL
