Frolik is worth more than that. Also, why include Backlund in the Brodie deal? That's really bad for the Flames. Erasing 2/3 of the 3M line likely means the Flames miss the playoffs.

This lineup really needs a #2C. Why move Backlund without replacing him. If anything, the Flames need an upgrade at his spot, not replacing him with a guy with 25 NHL games under his belt.

I don't think you are too far off on the return for Frolik though as that third is pick #69.

I don't like the Ottawa deal as the Sens already have a number of good young LD and Melnyk is too cheap to take on Neal's contract, plus if the Flames move Kylington it should be in a package for a forward worth protecting in the expansion draft.

Why sign and trade Hathaway, especially sending more salary to Vegas than they move out in Reeves, when they are over the cap presently?

Your contracts seem fair and I do like the idea of trading up for Kaliyev if he falls far enough (just not in the trade you completed)

Thanks CN10, appreciate the respectful response and ideas. I agree on Back, could take him out of that trade and maybe add a late pick or lower prospect. I know the “3M” lime is talked about to death, I really think Chucks needs more offensive talent. I would like to see Bennet get a chance in replacement of Frolik. Anyways cheers, keep up the good work.

Pretty crazy trade ideas, not even near value. Back to the drawing board....
