I don't see Ottawa parting with any of these guys, but in fairness I'm not an NHL GM. I live in Belleville and have seen Brown progress. He has the potential to be a top 6 guy. Ditto Formenton with his speed. Wolanin is a good d prospect.

Ceci and the 19th? Does Winnipeg need to shed Perrault's contract as part of a deal. Sens can easily absorb his contract for two years. Truthfully, OTT/WIN could be ideal trading partners here, whatever the deal looks like.

So what get's a deal done? I know we all overvalue our players and undervalue other teams' players, but realistically what would Winnipeg want in return? Abramov was a 100+ pt guy in the QMJHL and is only 21 years old.

I hear you on losing quality players. Luckily the Jets are stacked with signed talent so your window to win is wide open. It sucked losing Karlsson, Stone, Duchene and others last year as a Sens fan.

I think the trade you suggested would work. DeMelo is an underrated 3rd pairing d, Boedker adds depth to your forwards and a 1st round pick is always great. More importantly Jets get cap flexibility to sign Laine, Connor and a dman. From a Sens perspective, Ehlers instantly becomes a top 3 player and they can swallow Kulikov and Perrault's contracts easy.
