Even if he is bought out, what makes me think he will accept that low from the Sharks? To be honest, his best bet is to play for Carolina and fulfill his contract assuming the Canes want him. If he must play out west, he should be on a team like the Kings, Coyotes, or Avs. Again, assuming they want him.

His numbers are easily replaceable by other players on the Sharks and they would be.

Patty reportedly said he only wanted to play for SJ if not Toronto. He's getting a payday already, if sharks throw him 1 million it's the cherry on top. Not to mention he gets a solid chance to win a cup in the place his family grew up. THINK OF THE FEELS!!
