Description

Some discussions in here got me thinking of possible defensive pairings for this season. The idea of carrying 8 D came up and I needed to see how it would play out. It ended up with me having 4 rookies. It started with liking the idea of Hague and Schmidt together. Bottom line is I'm glad I'm not a coach. I think McNabb/Schmidt & Theodore/Engelland are solidified, but then does that mean that you let Holden (who was suspect last year) mentor Hague or Schuldt? Or do you let Merrill ( who showed improvement but I have a bad feeling could regress) take on Whitecloud or Coghlan? The set up below has pairings I think would be good from a mentorship stand point. I don't think any of those veterans is 3rd pairing material. Let me know what you guys think.
