Potential call ups now with HC change

Created by: Eklund

Description
I can see Blichfeld, True, Letunov and Halbgewachs all getting a shot this season now with the coaching change. Blochfeld might have the best chance to stay.

Joachim is tough, fast and plays a very similar game to Sorensen with more scoring potential. A grinder that agitates and scores..SJ definitely needs that.

SJ has lacked toughness all year with Prout being injured forever and a day. Possible we see Viel called up to see some hard edged play injected to our fourth line.

True is not meant to be an AHLer forever, he plays a complete two way game with some scoring touch. He’s smart and reliable. Can PK and make plays.

Letunov is a bit more under the radar...he’s having a breakout year with the Cuda he’s big but doesn’t use it as much as he should and he’s not the most reliable defensively. He could be a dark horse to make some noise with SJS.

Halbewachs is certainly an underdog. At 5’8” 160lbs he is tiny but has great hands and speed.

Chmelevski might finally be coming into his own after an very poor start to the year. His defense has been terrible but he still has a ceiling at a scoring 3C.

Thomas Gregoire has been a pleasant surprise notching 17 points and a +5 season so far as a defenseman.

Two other Dark horses are Kellman and Weinger. Weinger in particular has been a big surprise with 12 points in 15 games and leads the team in +/- with +8 tied with Keaton Middleton.

Regardless Wilson needs to be on the market for a top 6 winger no matter what and a backup goalie.

Viel is a very fringe guy, would perfer he never sees NHL ice.
Weinger and Gregoire arent even on sharks contracts.
True is likely a career AHLer sadly. He had a real shot at training camp and just showed nothing
