Here's the likely Belleville lineup for the Calder Cup Playoffs, in my opinion.
1st Line - A reunion of last year's top trio should give the team some punch atop the lineup. Batherson has player really well with Norris this year, but I think Brown and Paul could use some of that chemistry back in their lives.
2nd Line - Not sure if the Sens can send White down for the playoffs, but if they can they should to help him regain some of his lost confidence. Put him on a line with Balcers and Norris and the BSens will have two deadly lines to roll to start the playoffs.
3rd Line - If White can't go down, either Formenton or Abramov will likely be on the wing for the second line, but if White can go down, this is a great third line in the AHL. All three should be in the NHL in the next year or two, and they would have speed to burn and give a pretty solid forecheck whenever they're on the ice.
4th Line - I think this is a great checking line, with Veronneau coming in from time to time. Not going to put up a ton of points, but Troy Mann won't need to worry with this trio on the ice.
1st D - I'm assuming the Sens are going to sign JBD after his NCAA season is done, and after a brief stint with the big club, he'll go down to Belleville for the playoff run. Most fans are hoping that JBD will pair with Chabot down the road, but he's probably going to see some time with Brannstrom as they move up to the big club full time, and so it'll be fun to see the two of them play together in the playoffs.
2nd D - Two defencemen who are trying to prove they should be in the NHL, but who are definitely behind the two younger guys mentioned above. Can Jaros or Lajoie carve out regular time with the big club? Maybe, and a solid playoffs with the BSens will go a long way to making their case.
3rd D - Somehow this is currently a pairing on the NHL team, but once everyone is healthy, and the Ottawa season is done, they will help solidify the depth in the AHL.
Goalies will be in the order I have them. Hogberg is the #1 and I think Daccord has played well enough since Hoggy moved up to earn that number 2 spot.
There are a couple other guys already in the NHL who could maybe be sent down for the playoffs, like Chabot and Tkachuk, but they're already playing big roles in Ottawa and they deserve some time off in the spring.
