The Canucks will have Ferland coming off LTIR soon and have not placed anyone else on LTIR despite having multiple candidates. My understanding is they could preserve their current ASCL by placing someone on LTIR before Ferland comes off, otherwise the ASCL will have to be recalculated. Their current ASCL is $166,794 shy of the cap, unless they can get it lower they should be placing someone on LTIR before Ferland comes off correct?
