You realize hardly anyone in Buffalo has value right now? Gonna have to overpay because nobody wants guys underperforming on a bad team

This summer they finally have cap space . There is a good core coming together . Players will want to join a team with Eichel . Also this coach is very well respected by players . It is not the gloom and doom you want to project. They have had a rough year with injuries . And still lack system depth because of Murray's accelerated rebuild and horrible drafting

I agree for the most part, however we are still 2-3 big pieces away from being competitive and I don’t see any solutions in the pipeline as of right now. We have sucked at drafting anywhere away from the top 2 picks so I don’t see value in keeping any of our firsts if we have the potential to trade for an established player that will instantly make us better. I am 100% for keeping this core we currently have and building through the draft however I just don’t like our track record and even though we may fire Botterill this summer, I dont trust the Pegulas to put the right person in that spot.

We have not sucked at drafting under Botterill have you tracked the draft classes A? Murray sucked at drafting . Botterill's will be hittin Rochester heavy next year . Like Samuelksson , Pekar , Davissson for starters. The Pegulas are not firing Botterill,.. they are happy . They realize what a huge mess there was to clean up from Murray . No developing prospects, Farm system on fire and the NHL team in cap hell with a ton of bad contracts. Botterill said from day one the key to winning was drafting and developing.
