This trade is just obnoxious... This would be overvaluing Trouba. He is not worth $6M a year either.

People seem to love Trouba so much and from stats, watching him play and analytics I never really understood why.

He pushes play up the ice in a huge way. Generates a lot of HDSC and is good at limiting them. Plus he has done something prime Chara and buff couldn't... Make Stuart an even possession player. He is very underrated and will likely score more next season. And Winnipeg will want a LHD in any trade like Smith.

No offense bud, but that is exactly what Trouba is going to be paid, if not more. Unless WPG wants to play hardball and go to arbitration. Holland needs to diversify the roster, and this a way he can significantly do that. Bones is right, including Smith and just one 1st may be another route Holland can go. But it's the same framework.

These charts aren't the "be all, end all" analysis, just a tool to give some form of evaluation.

I think that shows that Green is still a rock solid Dman, and Trouba is well on his way to being an elite Dman.

I agree. Green is very very useful. Trouba's most impressive feat is still carrying mark Stuart to being an even player at 5vs5. Prime Chara and prime big buff couldn't. That to me is impressive. Also trouba with buff this past year both have elite dmen numbers. Jets might also sign trouba and look to move Myers who scores like an elite dmen 5vs5 and is an even shot differential player but good at suppressing shot. Also has very good value.

Winnipeg needs LHD not another RHD like Marchenko more or less Smith or Ouellet added to Nyquist.
