Panthers decline. They aren’t trading their best overall defenseman without getting a top defensive prospect back as part of a massive return.

Florida isn't giving up 5 years of Ekblad for 2 years of Gaudreau. It's a well known fact that Gaudreau wants to play in either New Jersey or Philly. He's the Panthers best Dman and it would take far more then 2 years of Gaudreau and a 2nd to get him out of Florida.
