Still lots of Cap Room, thought about a UFA but really wasn't sure where they would fit. I'd like to see Edler in a trade for LW in the Top 6. I think Boeser could challenge Virtanen for the 2nd Line RW spot also, Virtanen is such a good defensive player that once his scoring comes around look out. The Top line, well they just score lol.

IMO you're seriously overrating this team, it's a basement team simple as that (although I shouldn't be talking as a Leafs fan). The Sedins are not getting any younger, and right now they're putting up second line production. You're bottom six forward group is atrocious and to be honest that second line isn't too impressive either. Also I don't know why you want to acquire a top six LW you're a trash team ATM, if you want to stop being one of those the trick is too draft, not give up assets for players you don't need since you're not contending. Just as a last note if you want to pay Gudbranson that kind of money power to ya man. But he's a bottom six defender and I think you canuck fans should come to term with that.
P.S. why would boston give you a third for an AHL caliber player making way too much money?

So ever since the Canucks Lost in the Finals and Gillis was removed we have Drafted Horvat, Virtanen, Demko, Boeser and Juolevi as more our studs I would say. Every time I hear you have to draft it basically means you have to get 1st overall? There's a 1-4 chance now? I'm just curious how many prospects a team can have on it? What if Horvat takes the next step? Power Forwards take time to develop as per Virtanen who was the best defensive forward last year. Boeser, Demko and Juolevi all will be NHL studs to. Sure it would be nice to get 1st overall and say we did would that know make Vancouver good? Plus on D you have Tanev who has the best fancy stats as a defender in the league, Hutton is coming up? Gundbranson will make the team better and harder to play against in front also given he has a decent line mate. Never said they would win the cup next year but there 2 years away from being a decent team again.

Who's to say guys like Stetcher, Subban, Brisebois and Trymakin don't help also.

This is a late response so sorry about that. No I don' think when i say when you have to build through the draft that means first overall, but what i do think is that you can't build a team by acquiring third pairing defenceman in gudbranson, for a young promising player like mccann+picks or by signing decling players like eriksson to long term deals.
