Insured LITR Ottawa need to get to the cap floor, there no reason for Ottawa to trade him.
Better question is why NYR wants his cap hit.

Not a Rangers fan so wasn’t sure what to give Georgiev. I think keeping Smith in the lineup is just wasting a roster spot tbh, you’ve got plenty of toughness with players like Lemieux, Trouba, Lindgren, DeAngelo and probably even Lafreniere to an extent. This kid isn’t going to need anyone to protect him.
