Probably not, but it would take more for Vegas to accept to start

Really?
They are cap strapped and want to sign Petro and Lehner.
Dumping 2.25M would be to their advantage.

Haha would the oilers be interested in paying over 10% of the cap on goaltending? Moving Neal isn’t just moving a unfavourable contract it’s removing at least 20 goals from the team too. He’s not a simple contract dump when you factor in that production needs to be replaced. He’s a much trickier situation than anyone seems to give notice to. Same can be said with Russell both are overpaid based on where they play in line up currently. With klef out its very reasonable russell provides the 4 million dollar value on the second pair because there’s suddenly room for him to play there. Difference in bad contracts and players stuck in a deeper depth role than signed on as. I really don’t get this larsson stuff the guy actually told the team he wants to stay here I thought he played his best hockey ever during January and February this season was an absolute beast yes he has a back issue that’s caused him to miss time but he’s miles and miles ahead of anyone else on this blue line as a shut down d. Really want to toss that out for next to nothing after getting news our best all round d could require surgery and be out long term? I don’t think that’s even close to smart. Player expressed significant interest to stay + current state of flat cap = very valued extension. Let’s be smart with our money moving forward.
