Description

If Bergevin can't move cap space to get Hall or Hoffman (or if they just sign elsewhere) who else could be brought in that would give more scoring to the team without trading away anyone else (Keeping Danault basically)? The only available player I'd see come over here to prove himself as a capable scoring change is Duclair. Comes from MTL, gave good number last year in Ottawa regardless of attitude I'd go for him. Make Weber and Price responsible for him to ensure attitude is in check (if the word out there is true of course). Gives Bergevin what fans want in a NHL ready QC native, and provide a good solid player to put more numbers up.

If it's not Hall I hope it's nobody unless it's a 1 year deal

Duclair at 2m 2y (highly doubt) would be OK

Brassard/Koivu/Martin are good targets. Richardson/Gauthier at lower cost

I could add that Brassard would be priority because Bergevin seems to target PP players (Simmonds, Hoffman, Hall). Best cheap PP players out there

Agreed. I always go for Brassard on most teams I'd like to see. He's one hell of a player, wonder if he'd like coming to MTL for the same terms I gave Duclair here. I went for Duclair on this one because he's a MTL home boy, so it would appease some of the backlash Timmins and Bergevin got for not drafting Lapierre at the draft when he was still available.. Take the injury away he's a top 10 player so I also think they should've taken the chance.
