Make it LGD(no retention) and Merrill for a 3rd and a 5th and I'd take that deal. If you want us to take Kerfoot off your hands as a throw in to offset some salary, fine, we'll take him I guess, but that's a throw away to us, not an asset.

Glendening’s remaining cap is less than 700k and will be lower at TDL so retaining 50% is minimal and those 3 retention slots would be better used on larger contracts (eg Nemeth, Bernier, Helm, Flip). Hollowell has no value to Detroit as he’s a RHD that would never see ice time here as were deep at RD and Yzerman has traded away Regula to clear the logjam. Kerfoot is overpaid in the current NHL for his role as we’ve seen comparable centers like Haula sit on the market and sign for roughly half of his AAV nor does he play 2C over Fabbri even on Detroit. If you want to structure the deal without Kerfoot it would make more sense for Detroit.
