Ty Loney is 23, had 4 pts in 5 AHL games, so it's not the craziest thing in the world for him to make the team, at the least as a budding power forward who can drop the gloves like his dad while he works his way up from the 3rd or 4th lines.
Loney can't make the team. He's only been signed to an AHL contract, not an NHL one. So unless the team signs him to an ELC before the season starts, he won't be able to play for the Pens this season
