I get that. It is just a placeholder to get Fleury's salary out of Vegas. Doesn't really matter where he goes or what the return is for this exercise.

It's an offer sheet, so I doubt any GM would actually do it. There has to be an overpayment to put more pressure on Vancouver to not be able to match. VGK needs a top line center. They do not have it coming from within the organization. To get it from outside, the team will have to overpay.
