What is the point of playing a top tier player 6 minutes a night?

Bouchard needs to be in the top 4, Larsson is great but IMO works most effectively bottom pair and Bouchard could legitimately be a Calder finalist if he plays PP and top pair

Holloway should start in the A next year, don't rush him. Also don't know about McLeod at 3C, he's never even scored an NHL goal yet. keep him on the 4th line and make him earn it.

I think we should definitely sign a 1LW, 3LW, starting goalie, bottom pair or middle pair defence man, and if we have extra cap then a 3c. That should be our to do list. If Nuge leaves then we need a 2LW, which I believe we can get! Most of this I’m fine with except, playing Ryan McLeod on the third line, and not trading Ethan Bear. I’m not a Bear fan and I rather not keep him.... if we do, I will just have to live with it, but I hope we don’t. We should get Seattle to take one of James Neal, or Mikko Koskinen by paying. This isn’t a bad roster, and I like it mostly, but there is a few things I disagree on.

Who’s playing 6 minutes a night? And it’s called depth.

If you would have read the title to my roster you’d naturally assume I have Holloway starting in the A. As for 3C, Derek Ryan has proven he can be effective in that role so him and McLeod can be interchangeable depending on who is playing better.

Holloway. How much time do you think he will play on the 4th line? Send him down or at least play him on the 3rd line.

I’m a huge Bouchard fan and I think he’s going to be an elite top pair d-man and I’d give you the benefit of the doubt on him playing the second pair but how many cup winning teams have had a rookie d-man on the top pair? I can see him slotting in there on 2022-23 but as of right now Nurse-Bear is the perfect fit at top pair.

Read the title of my roster. He’ll play 2 months in the AHL. Then obviously he’s not going to be on the 4th line all the time. He’s a guy that can easily move up and down the lineup.

I wouldn't bring him up unless he's averaging 1.5 points per game or higher. Keep him there the whole season and develop properly, given Holland's past I would say that's what happens.

Exactly, let him play 22 minutes a night in Bako, why have him here at all in this case.

High end NCAA players don’t need a full season in the AHL to develop properly. Take a look at Caufield. You could make the case that Holloway should have won the Hobey Baker instead of him and Caufield has been one of the Hab’s best players in the playoffs. You’ll see Holloway in an Oilers jersey next year.

Why did you say “exactly” when you clearly missed my point completely? Lol. I said he can move up and down the lineup. IMO Hyman, Holloway, and Benson are all guys that will be able to move in and out of the top 6 depending on who’s playing well and who isn’t.

One player doesn't mean that all of the high end college players can skip, maybe he can play in the NHL next year but that's not what Ken Holland does historically. He likes to slow play his prospects.

Because I think he shouldnt be moved up do . He should stay down until he is ready to come up. Than up for good.
