Description

Keep the first line in tact, let them work together to get over the hump. Regular seasons no issues yet have been dominant.

Nylander was great in the playoffs, losing JT hurt. Add coleman to that line to add some speed/grit (hyman for the 2nd line).

Paquette and Goodrow add some grit, speed and fiesty-ness we lack.

Top 4 D stay the same, and you bring in oleksiak and Haakanpa as your shut down 5/6 guys. Both can play up and down depending on the role.

JC plays 50-60 games and Rinne is a veteran who plays the other games.

Is it enough, probably not, but it's a better balance that what they've had. Should win at least one round.

Paquette is a healthy scratch with CAR. Why would you want him as your 3C next year 🤷‍♂️

Not enough for Coleman.
If Hyman wants anything above 4.7mil Leafs need to walk.
Like the Goodrow, Oleksiak, Hakanppa signings. But if you bring in another RD might as well trade Liljegren, no reason to block him. Trade and get an asset you can use

I like it, just a couple preferences of mine.

Bring back Dermott instead of bringing in someone new, it’s gonna be a lot cheaper for us and he played well save for that one mistake in game 6.

I like the idea of getting a vet backup, but probably not Rinne because he hasn’t made a decision on playing next year, I say go for Hank if he’s healthy enough and willing to go.

Other than that, the Toronto Lightning look good

I can’t see into the future but I feel confident there will be no Taxi Squads so you’ll need at least twi scratch’s which put you over the cap. The FA signings are too low.

As 3C options you have Kerfoot (who proved his worthy during these playoffs) unless he gets selected by Seattle.
FA options I like are :
Cizikas
Bonino
Wennberg
And possibly Rask(MIN) if he got bought out
