No interest in this deal. Hertl needs to have a great prospect as the main driver of value.

bednars system isnt goalie friendly. grubby is just good.

That is just nonsense. The Avs allowed the fewest shots per game against this year, almost 2 shots per game less than the 2nd place team (Boston). Not sure how much goalie friendly you can get

nah that's just a stacked team. bednar's system allows for more cross ice passes and breakaways, i mean just look at the knights series. bednar's game is all about transition and is comfortable trading chances.

That is partially true. But looking strictly at the Vegas series is not a way to get a good idea of what the Avs want to do. Vegas was trying to play their game as well and at times dominated. There is a reason that Vegas was effectively tied for the presidents trophy.

When the Avs are imposing their style, they are not trading chances. In addition to fewest SOG against, they were #2 in SOG for. Most games through out the season were mid to upper 30s SOG while the other team often could barely muster low 20s. They are very much a puck possession team with a strong transition D that activate often.

not just the vegas series, its been many years. avs are just stacked so it's not as obvious. avs are 100% trading chances . it's not 1 for 1 because the avs are stacked but they are ok playing an aggressive offensive style even if it means giving up odd man rushes in their own zone. that style doesn't help the goalie.
