Welcome to a mad hatter of an off season.
With key resigning. A bargain in the ufa. And a trade with the devil ( that Vegas)

Trade. First round pick for Alex tuch. Vegas needs some cap space. Oilers get a top 6 forward with size and SKILL. Yep big letters. And open spots for glass and krebs. To crack the line up.

Expansion. Let’s turn Caleb jones in to a valuable asset to move the last year of mikkos deal. Since oilers more then likely over think expansion


Key resigning. Yamomoto Larson and Nuge. Some good players. Oilers need these.

Tatar. Fantastic 5v5 player. Oilers were not the best-at 5v5 with mcdrai off the ice 1 year deal. Very very similar to the Barrie deal. Though big bidders might do 4year 6mill.

Now with the uncertainty of klefbom oilers need an 2LD. with buffalos disaster McCabe would be excellent( his metrics back it up too)

Now goalies. HOLLAND stated he wants to resign smith. I wouldn’t. But it will happen so he’s 1B
Now for the 1A. A few good options as stop gaps for the hopefuls OF skinner and konolov. 3 year deal works best. And drieger was fantastic in Florida. And they are stuck with Bob.

Now if there’s a trade to move kassian I would look at him out east. The asset cost might be less then ideal so we will keep him around for now.

Goodrow fits what you would want in the bottom 6. Though the cup tax from Tampa winning might make it more then the current deal.
The top two ahl scorers should be able to make opening night roster and they would come cheaper then kassian. If a deal come to the table

We may also want to look at another 3LD to be the puck mover for the Larson pair.
