Honestly, if it was just Lindbohm and Shattenkirk for Skeji and Miller, that may be an offer too good to pass up. Skeji and Miller are both under team control by their UFA status, and Skeji fills the young LHD need that the Blues lack. Gunnarsson is decent at best and Edmonson is questionable as a top 4. Bouwmeester is also on the back nine of his career. Skeji helps the left side depth tremendously. Miller is a solid player, not a top line center, but could probably play at least thrid line, maybe even second.

But those two first rounders are serious overpayment.
