Description

If Lundqvist can play again, he comes back to play with NYR. This means NYR could trade away Georgiev, or they can waive Hank and he can pull a Jason Spezza and say “I’ll retire if anyone claims me” and he can just practice with the NHL team even though he’s on the AHL roster (like what David Backes did with Boston)

That’s actually not a bad trade for the Flames, however the only way I can see the Flames giving up both Gaudreau and Monahan would be if they’re trading for Eichel

This would be more of a rebuild move. Maybe they can flip some of those assets for Eichel? Doubt they get him in the first place tho
