Description

St Louis fans most likely won't like that Dunn trade. But thats okay. I just dont see Yzerman moving the Washington 1st.
Martinez and Hyman are two guys linked to Detroit already. I would prefer to get Mike Reilly and Blake Coleman, but neither of these guys are slouches.
Raymond doesn't make the team out of camp imo, but Berggren does. I wouldn't rule out Raymond coming up mid season say after moving Panik or someone.

I would imagine for this trade to go through it needs one of four things (atleast) from Toronto: Amirov, Sandin, Robertson, or 2022 1st. Detroit is at the stage where they're not so much looking for specs, but looking for young guys to come into their shells. Sandin makes the most sense for us, however I dont think Toronto would be too fond of moving Sandin, but taking Amirov who is maybe two years out of the nhl, or a 2022 1st, isn't the best for the wings. We dont wanna rebuild forever.

It has to be one of Sandin or Robertson or Bertuzzi to Toronto is a no go, Yzerman isn't dealing Bertuzzi to Toronto without it being very painful for Lyle Dubas. If he truly wants him he's going to pay a premium price for him.

Robertson is fair value for Bertuzzi, Robertson has 30-40 goal potential and Detroit needs scoring badly. Some Leafs fans have even suggested that Robertson could be a 50 goal scorer at the NHL level. Have to admit that's awfully enticing to us. I don't see Yzerman dealing Bertuzzi without at least Robertson coming back in the deal. I can understand Sandin being off limits.

I'm certainly not opposed to Robertson. It's definitely him or Sandin though. I know Dubas wouldn't be thrilled to move him, but hes also not even in the top 4 there. Not to say he can't be, or won't be. But for Detroit, for the trade to happen it has to also be players they like. I know alot of Toronto fans just throw around Mikiyev, Dermott, Hoglander, and company and expect it to work. But it's gotta end up being Sandin or Robertson to me
