Salary Cap Mode: Basic

-We dont have the assets to get Eichel (im not giving up Suzuki or Caufield)
-We do need a center to replace Danault, and Dvorak would be a good pick up. Looking at other deals around the league, I think a 1st round pick would be more than enough. Dvorak isnt great at 5v5 which is the habs strength, so he wouldn't be a perfect fit but there isn't a lot of centers on the market. Byron would be a cap dump.
-Seattle apparently are open to trade Vince Dunn as he is 4th on their LD depth chart. St-Louis wanted a 1st for him, I think a near NHL-ready prospect like Ylonen and a 2nd round pick would be a good deal for both teams (Jake Bean got traded for only a 2nd...).
-The habs only realistic signings on the FA market are Savard and Hoffman. Let's get them both on a 1 year deal so we can lock up Suzuki next summer.
-I'd probably trade Lekhonen and sign Armia instead, but I feel like he'll ask for 3-3.5M and that's too much for a 4th liner imo. Maybe Lekhonen can go to Arizona instead of Byron but I think the 1st round pick is enough in itself for a rebuilding team.
-Another player i'd be interested in if I was MB would be Rickard Rakell. 1 year left on a nice cap hit, but I'd rather go for a center. We'd have to move Drouin in order to make it work and I fear he has negative value at the moment, might as well play him with Suz and Cole.
