Description

This leaves a few free agents with expiring contracts at the 2018 trade deadline for us to unload for some picks/prospects.

Avs get a top pick and keep the core. Likely be in the same spot this time next year but with a stronger core and with Jost on his way and another top draft pick, not to mention we can unload duchene next TD with Jost having his first pro year under his belt. Lots of money to play with down the road...
