Habs would not give up their first rounder in that trade. Would have to be Carolinas unless the pick was top 10 protected

There are many replacements out there and they need to look and see what the ultimate goal is… since the playoff run everyone has gone downhill except signing Hoffman and savard. Not worth trading a bunch of futures unless you are getting THE GUY.

As much as I am trying to be optimistic their first rounder could be a lottery pick and maybe that is the way you get your guy

Not going to complain about that though. Hoffman brings in 25 more goals than the Canadiens had before and improves the power play that at times has looked like a house league teams power play

thats true. hes gonna look good for you on the left side.. but thats all he really offers.. i just thought bergevin wanted something better
