Devils roster has been set and there are some surprises. Some paper moves and IR designations that might not stay in place. When Wood comes off IR, it'll send Studenic down to Utica and shift Vesey to the RW on the 4th line. When Thompson comes off IR it will send Guathier down to Utica and Thompson will become next man up. When Severson comes off IR Jaros will move to the 7th D-man(healthy scratch). When Smith comes off IR it will send White down to Utica. The severity of these injuries is unknown at this time, but it seems that Severson's injury is not severe and he could return as soon as Game 1. Wood and Thompson are new to the injury report, and don't seem to be severe injuries either. My guess would be that they would take their time getting Thompson off IR, but get Miles Wood off IR as soon as he's ready. The Ty Smith situation is troubling, because we don't know anything about his true status. Hopefully, it's not too long before we see him on the ice again.
