Created by: ZachArmel
Team: 2021-22 Custom Team
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 24, 2021
Published: Nov. 24, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
2021: Traded for Nick Foligno. CBJ Picked Corson Ceulemans who looks like a solid prospect
2020: Traded pick in Marleau trade and lost out on Jarvis (eek). Then traded Kapanen for Rodion Amirov who looks good in the KHL. missed out on Mercer though
2019: traded first in Jack Muzzin trade. LAK selected Bjornfot (9 points in 54 games as a D man)
2018: Sandin looks like the right pick, could be a solid top 4 dman as soon as this year
2017: Liljegren. Finally getting minutes in the NHL, key names they missed out on: Thomas, Norris and Yamamoto
2016: Superstar
2015: Superstar
2014: Superstar, only player I would debate on picking is Pastrnak but Willy is elite still
2013: Gauthier, missed out on Theodore, Burakovsky and Hartman
2012: Rielly. Best Dman in first round, maybe look at Hertl or Forsberg but Mo is the heart and soul of the Leafs and truly is a top pairing Dman
2011: Biggs and Percy were... a BUST. Missed on Danault, Jensen, Namestikov, Rakell
2010: Traded pick that turned into Tyler Seguin for Kessel...
2009: Nazem Kadri. Good pick, still miss him
2008: Luke Schenn, played for a long time but missed on Erik Karlsson, Josh Bailey, Eberle, Carlson
2007: traded first for Vesa Toskala. Picked turned into Lars Eller
2006: Jiri Tlustly... Missed Giroux, Varlamov, Nick Foligno, Berglund
2005: Great pick but traded him to Boston for Raycroft
2004: Traded to Rangers for Leetch, pick was Kris Chucko (24th overall)
2003: Pick traded to SJS for Owen Nolan became Mark Stuart (21 overall)
2002: Alex Steen, great pick
2001: Carlo Colaiacovo good pick considering who was picked after
2000: Brad Boyes. Missed on Justin Williams and Niklas Kronwall
