Why adding pick to the Seattle trade Barrie is worth far more. I don’t get why people constantly sell soo low. He’s a right handed puck moving d that’s the most premium position in hockey toughest to acquire everyone seems willing to just cast him out. Teams pay for production and Barrie brings that as good or better than any d in the league.

Barrie is wildly overpaid, underperforming, and one of the worst D from a defensive perspective in the league. Not sure that is a hot commodity around the league. He plays on a powerplay with the two best players in the world and is not even 0.5 ppg.... We cannot wait forever for him to find some confidence, when his PP role can be filled by Bouchard, and anyone can pick up his third pair minutes...

Barrie has been among the most productive d in the league before mcdavid or Leon even played an nhl game. Think his track record suggests he helps them just as much as they help him.

Agreed he had a great year last year and a few in Colorado. But he's not performing this year and we cannot afford to waste $4M a year on a guy that cannot play in his own zone. Bouchard fills his roll so its time for him to leave.
