That sounds like 1 call to me, and isn't that a GM's job, to call and see if a deal is to be made? Does the Canuck GM just sit at his desk and wait for the phone to ring? Come on MR Troll, you're better than this!

Well our GM isn’t in any rush to trade Miller so why would he go around calling people to trade him. He isn’t desperate

Is Miller your only player? Do the Canucks have ANY needs? I would guess so as their fans post trade after trade on this forum and they are not a playoff team as of today. Maybe your GM should make a few calls, no???

They are taking calls. Not huge ones. The Canucks are probably selling which means they are gonna be competing to trade for top players…

So they don't MAKE calls? Guess that explains the record.

I think you’ve forgotten the fact that we’ve only had our front office for a short period of time. Our record since new coaching and GM is top 10 in the league. We’d easily be in the playoffs if Travis Green and Jim Benning were fired sooner. I’m sure Allvin and Ruthford are calling teams but they aren’t desperate like some teams are for our players

Exactly, so why are all these Vancouver fans posting all these trades? They still have a shot at the playoffs, so why would they trade Miller anyway? They shouldn't, but that doesn't stop tons of trades posted here every day asking for the moon.

As a Canucks fan, I think it’s better to move Miller when his trade value is at its peak. The Canucks may squeak into the playoffs but would probably get bounced in the first round anyway. I’d rather get more draft picks to restock the prospect pipeline. Ruthford also thinks the same way

Exactly. We could get a massive haul for him. Idk if we can afford to re-sign him in two years or if he even wants to stay. He’s in his prime and deserves to go to a team that’s winning right now. The Canucks are still a couple years away from contending if they start a retool

Well, then I would assume he is MAKING calls trying to trade him or he isn't doing his job, is he?

As reported, Ruthford isn’t trying to sell Miller to a team. He’s letting teams come to him because a lot of them are. It’s a good tactic as he currently holds all power in negotiations. At this point management isn’t 100% sure whether or not they are gonna trade Miller right now. It is likely they ship out some lesser pieces

Didn't you JUST SAY that Rutherford is of the mind to move him now to get prospects and picks? Like 2 minutes ago. It can't be both.

You can move players for picks and prospect with players not named Miller. As of right now, there is a potential for a Boeser or Garland trade…
