Insurance on the right side. Barrie Bouchard or ceci get hurt (Barrie just did last night) forced to play a lefty on the right side and I don’t think the guys we have are suited to move over and play up to full capability so adding Braun just ensures we have a steady right handed option to turn to.

We have Koekoek and Russel as bench players. We have no need for Braun unless Barries gone.

Koekkoek has been horrific this year and doubtful sees another game with the big club this year and russell can’t seem to stay healthy enough to be relied upon I put him as an extra because really like and hope he can get healthy enough to be an option but can’t depend on him. Both have played the right side but neither of them are solid options. Don’t have a solid internal option right now for the right side

I mean I see where your coming from but I just dont think we need a solid roster player sitting because we have three other solid d men playing. We cant pay someone to sit and give up a third and fifth. Id rather have Lagesson continuing his development than have braun sitting there. I think we should pursue a top 4 LD as our main target because Keith is really not playing how we need a top 4 d man to play. I think our right side is perfect unless we are shipping out barrie ( which I dont think we should )

Keith just got back from injury and joined the team on tail end of tough road trip let him get back to Edmonton will be fine was playing very well before the injury. Barrie I’m 100% against moving. Braun is just a fill in could rotate down the stretch giving all bouch Barrie and Ceci a couple games off and if one is hurt not counting on a lefty to slide over. Lagesson I do really like been very impressed with this year most specifically however he’s a 3rd pair guy don’t see having a ceiling above that and with Niemelianen broberg and samorukov working way in don’t see a future here for lagesson.

Braun has been playing top line RHD in Philly all year. Is that where he is best suited? No, but he is certainly won't be sitting on the bench. He's a fantastic bottom pairing D who is capable of moving up if a team has injuries. Don't be surprised if he goes for a second to a contender. A 3rd and a 4th is also reasonable.

He could swap in and out for Bouchard in that third pair role but I’d give the spot to Bouchard first and let his play dictate the decisions. Not knocking Braun I go for him very consistently for a reason but he’s not a clear upgrade on anyone have on the right side already and are committed to term with the others so they get priority over a rental. Just need a steady presence that can slide in without much issues to allow another to rest down the stretch or replace for any injury.

I think someone gives up a second for him tbh, a team that misses out on a guy like Chariot and doesn't trust their third line RHD. Toronto or Boston maybe. Edmonton may not be a good fit for him as they definitely should play Bouchard over Braun.

If someone offers more than oilers would be out and move to the next guy on the list.
