Fiala to Ottawa and Other Moves

Description
So like many others here I think the obvious suitor for a Kevin Fiala trade would be Ottawa, cap space and prospects it just makes sense for both teams. The last couple of days I have seen a few different mock trades a number along the same lines.
So here instead of just Fiala, I added Minnesota’s 4th. Then coming back from Ottawa I kept Robi, even though Grieg would be nice. I think Robi is larger and has some strong upside. I also kept Thomson which others have said made a deal a bit rich so instead of a first it is the late 2nd of Tampa and Ottawas 3rd. The deals main components are the two young guys and the picks more icing. Off course it would be a sign and trade with Fiala locked in long term to something Ottawa has agreed to as well.

The Kulikov trade is to any team looking for a solid 3rd pair defenseman, not just Carolina. Yesterday I had a comment that Carolina might be a nice match. So don’t get after me on Carolina doesn’t need him its a place holder to help reduce some cap pressure. I would love to hear were he would be a good fit if you have a better place in mind.

I have added two NCAA free agents. Ben Meyers (Center - University of Minnesota) and Jake Livingstone (RHD - MSU Mankato). Meyers is arguably the best NCAA free agent and Livingstone is a big defense man where the Wild could definitely use some prospect depth.
- Now having Addison, Thomson and Livingstone at RD is a solid group of young guys.
- Our LD packed with Lambos, O’Rourke, Peart and Hunt. Solid D prospects a plenty could turn some of them into a solid winger in the short term or solid winger prospects in the long.

The only reserve list I signed was Jesper (G). Didn’t want to go through all of them at this moment. I don’t think we sign Filip Johansson and take the 2nd round comp. pick instead. I believe I have heard/read that if we don’t sign him we get a pick of that caliber in return.

The Taxi Squad is more to show the guys that I had traded for because if they were non roster you wouldn’t see them. Also they are guys I think could play up in the NHL. I like the idea of the Wild have 7-8 defenseman rotating around the 3rd line to keep guys fresh Goligoski isn’t getting younger. And not throwing young guys to the wolves young seems wise.

So what do you think?

Tough to part ways with Lassi. Seems like he's going to be a top 4 D as soon as next year. But I would do this from Ottawa's perspective.

Just a draft pick. The Wild are in no place to take on any salary.

A bridge deal for Necas won’t be expensive. I would easily take Kulikov though cap hit and contract about fit us perfectly.
