Can't see the Flames paying that kind of $$ for a 3rd line C coming off a 25 point season.

Pretty sure their plan is to continue developing Bennett as a C, plus Jankowski is looking really close to NHL ready. Not to mention when they dressed Lazar he usually played center too.

Monahan
Backlund
Bennett
Lazar
Stajan
Jankowski

So yeah, not seeing Boyle at all. If they did want to sign a 3C for that kind of money, better off doling out a little more for Hanzal, who is also huge but a much better all round hockey player than Boyle.

brian boyle is going to be approached by a lot of teams coming this off season, backlund has one year left and in the coming future calgary will insert either lazar or jankowski and even bennet into that second line role leaving boyle to play either 3rd or 4th line minutes. Calgary is in dire need of a big heavy forward who can throw hits and protect the puck far better than brower
