High hopes for the 1st OA

Description
If for some miracle the sharks get the first OA (they have a 3% chance at it) then this lineup and re-tool would take a few massive steps forward.
sharks would be in great shape with forward Wright, Eklund and Bordeleau combined with quality middle 6 prospects like Gushin Coe Robins & Weisblat to go along with a solid group of young D prospects in Laroque, Merkley, CIcek, Kinazev, and Hatakka and a top young goalie prospect in Gaudreau.
Our deep and solid forward prospect group will help us but with most of them 5'11 or smaller we ideally need 1 more top 9 power forward to provide net front presence and protection from bigger opponents. Marchment is the ideal winger in my eyes. a late bloomer who has come alive this year and shows all the tools to not be a 1 year wonder to go along with his size and toughness. And we benefit from the fact he has priced himself out of Florida's market and at 26 is still young enough to fit in our now abd our future plans.
lines are simple but each line has a nice balanced mix of players.
Meier (power forward/ sniper) Hertl (solid 2 way/ goal scorer) Barabanov (set up guy/ puck handler)
Eklund (elite Puck handler passer) Couture (solid 2 way center) Wright (goal scorer and plus passer)
Marchemnt (power forward net front presence) Bordeleau (puck handler/ distributor) Labanc (great shot/ good passer)
Gregor (speed) Bonino (defensive specialist) Reedy (net front presence power forward)
if Wright Eklund or Bordeleau aren’t quite ready then gregor reedy Marchment Veronneau or Nieto could all step up and fill in.
Defense is simple with not many moves.
Vlasic is bought out next year to give us enough cap to sign Meier
Labanc either rebounds and becomes valuable enough to trade or is bought out next season.
and next year all vacancies will be filled by the younger prospects who should be ready by then.
sharks would be a playoff team if we made these deals and get this lucky. and we would also be set up to continue to improve going forward as older vets age out of their deals and younger ELC take their place.

I just think its kind of naive for him to have his second best season next year. Things should be going down, not up…just according to standard trends. I think coutures best hockey is behind him, because that’s what history tells us.

again you are not taking into consideration he posted .73 pong with pathetic linemates, how is he regressing that much in 1 offseason that giving him better linemates won’t at the very least equate to a similar if not slightly better season? hell Pavelski got great linemates this year and had his best career season at 37.
