Why wouldn't you just try to sign Burakovsky and give up no draft picks or prospects

Cause I feel like we need a better winger to replace Rust. I mean Marchment would be a prefect guy and I hope we sign him, but he's not a great replacement for rust

But what money he will worth tho? (Against my blues he was meh, he has benefit from playing with kaprizov).

Sorry, but I am must ask question: Letang now worth more than Malkin? (Just I started wathing hockey since 16-17, and watching him I think he bit overrated + injury prone). I give him max 6×4.

Even in PP?

They shuffled our PP a lot, but majority of the year Fiala was on 2nd unit to try and balance.

Also, he had 17 PP points. 67 were even strength (and 1 SHG).

Fiala is literally the antithesis of benefiting from quality linemates. Outside of Boldys arrival, he’s been stuck with the likes of Bjugstad, Marcus Johansson, Rask, etc.

It couldn’t be less accurate to say he’s benefitted from Kaprizov. Fiala has had scraps to work with nearly his entire tenure in MN

Yes. Have you seen Geno play? Dont get me wrong he's a hell of a player, but he retaliates a lot and he isnt great at moving the puck anymore

Just he have soft spot in my heart (his perfomance in world championship 2012 was a reason I started watching hockey).

It's not about what he deserves. It's about what he wants. He's asking for kaprizov's money, and if true; 9 to 9.5 mil or more

It waa Russo who reported thus. Why do you think he's on trade block. 8 mil might not get him. He's not taking less

Idk I could see 7x8M being what he gets. $7M feels too low and $9M is too high. So Id guess just flex around in that range depending on term. Hard to say, since he technically can force UFA.

It is somewhat complicated for an acquiring team, but I think it’s reasonable to infer that he wants a long term deal at market value and the acquiring team will be able to “negotiate” beforehand.
